TCG Trax (“we,” “our,” or “us”) values your privacy and is committed to protecting your information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our website https://tcgtrax.com, our Apple app, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By using TCG Trax, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

Public-facing account details (such as display names), profiles, and fair use of features like friend connections must follow our Community Guidelines.

1. Information We Collect

a. Information You Provide

We may collect limited personal information when you:

Create or sign in to an account (via email, Apple, or Google)
Contact us for support or feedback
Subscribe to premium features or email updates
Create content in the app, such as notes on cards, or set notification preferences (for example, which cards you follow for price alerts)

This may include your name, email address, and login credentials. We do not collect additional personal data unless you voluntarily provide it.

Card notes and similar user-created content. If you add notes (or similar content) to cards, that content is associated with your account and stored on our servers so we can provide the feature and sync it across your devices. We use it only to operate those features for you—not for advertising.

We also store your collection data and related history (such as additions, removals, or other collection activity) as needed to provide features like portfolio analytics, historical collection values, and synchronization across your devices.

b. Automatically Collected Information

In-app analytics. We log interaction and usage in a non-identifying or aggregated way—navigation, screens, taps, viewing cards and sets, and scanner flows (including whether a scan succeeded). Normal app use may show up in these stats; we do not use them to identify you personally or for advertising across other companies' apps or sites. Here we summarize the main kinds of analytics—not every individual metric or future update.

We also collect routine technical information to keep the Services reliable, including:

Device type and operating system
App version, session duration, and usage statistics
Crashes and performance data
General geographic information (country-level only)
Device push notification tokens (when you enable notifications), stored with your account in our Supabase backend and used only to deliver the notifications described below

c. Card Scanner

Our card scanner does not take or store photographs of your cards. It performs a temporary scan to identify a card, and we do not retain scan imagery or scan output on our servers. We may still record anonymous product events about the scanner (for example, that a scan was attempted and whether it succeeded) so we can improve accuracy and the experience.

d. Third-Party Services

We use trusted services to support the app, including:

Supabase – authentication, cloud data storage, and push notification infrastructure (including storing device tokens and sending notification requests)
Adapty – revenue and install analytics
Google Analytics / Firebase – usage analytics and crash reporting
Apple Push Notification service (APNs) – final delivery of push notifications to Apple devices
eBay & TCGplayer APIs – card pricing, market data, and historical pricing information

These services help the app function but do not collect personal information about your identity.

Some pricing, historical market data, and currency conversion features rely on third-party providers and may be unavailable or inaccurate if those services experience interruptions or delays.

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

Operate, maintain, and improve the Services
Understand how the app is used in aggregate (including interaction and flow analytics) so we can fix issues and build better features
Manage accounts and synchronize collections
Display card details, pricing, historical pricing, portfolio analytics, collection performance, currency conversions, charts, and collection insights
Communicate updates about the Services
Send push notifications, such as price alerts, account and subscription notices, and feature or service updates
Store and sync user-created content (such as card notes) and notification preferences you set

We do not sell or share personal information with other companies.

3. Push Notifications

TCG Trax may send push notifications if you grant permission on your device. Notifications may include:

Price alerts for cards you follow or set alerts on (for example, a watchlist or alert list)
Important account notifications
Subscription-related information
Feature announcements or service updates

You can enable or disable notifications at any time in your device settings. Turning notifications off does not delete your account or stop you from using the rest of the Services.

Push notifications are managed through our Supabase backend (tied to your account): device notification tokens are stored there only as needed to deliver notifications, and we use that system to send notification requests. On Apple devices, final delivery is through Apple's Push Notification service (APNs). If we offer an Android version in the future, delivery on Android may use a platform push service in addition to Supabase. If you set price alerts or similar preferences, we store those preferences (such as which cards you follow and your alert settings) in your account data so we can send the alerts you requested.

4. Advertising and Affiliate Links

TCG Trax may display ads or affiliate links through trusted partners such as Google Ads, eBay, or TCGplayer. If you click or make a qualifying purchase, we may receive a commission. This does not affect your price or experience.

5. Data Retention

Account data and collections are stored securely and retained while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting support@tcgtrax.com, which will permanently remove your data.

6. Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child, contact support@tcgtrax.com and we will delete it. Rules about who may use the Services (including age) are in our Terms of Service.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect information, including HTTPS and trusted third-party services. However, no system is completely secure, and you acknowledge that you use the Services at your own risk.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

Access, correct, or delete your information
Withdraw consent for certain uses
Request a copy of your data (data portability)

9. Cookies and Tracking

The app may link to third-party websites or services (e.g., TCGplayer, eBay). We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Please review their policies before interacting.

11. Intellectual Property

All Pokémon-related content (images, data, trademarks) belongs to The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures Inc. TCG Trax is a fan app and is not affiliated or endorsed by these entities. All content is for informational and reference purposes only.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updates will be posted at https://tcgtrax.com/privacy with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
