Terms of Service

Welcome to TCG Trax (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using our app and website (https://tcgtrax.com) and related services (the “Services”), you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully. We start with who may use the Services, including age and parental-permission requirements, before covering accounts and the rest of these Terms.

1. Eligibility

By using TCG Trax, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old. Users under 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. Parents and guardians are responsible for overseeing any use of the Services by minors.

2. Children Under 13

TCG Trax is not intended for children under 13. You may not use the Services or create an account if you are under 13. TCG Trax does not collect age information, so you are responsible for complying with this requirement. If you believe someone under 13 is using the Services or has created an account, please contact us at support@tcgtrax.com.

3. Accounts

If you meet the eligibility requirements in Sections 1 and 2, you may create and use an account. Guest access is not available—you must have an account to use TCG Trax. Keep your login details private and make sure your information is accurate. You are responsible for activity under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the Services for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

• Copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or distribute the Services or any part of them
• Scrape, extract, reproduce, or redistribute data or content from the Services without our permission
• Use the Services or their data to create, develop, or operate a competing product or service
• Use any TCG Trax website, application, social media account, community, comment section, content, or other platform operated by TCG Trax LLC to advertise, promote, solicit, market, or direct users to any third-party product or service without prior written permission from TCG Trax LLC
• Use the Services for any unlawful purpose
• Interfere with or disrupt the Services or their security

Usernames, public profiles, and fair use of account features (including friend connections) must also follow our Community Guidelines, including how we may require renames or remove accounts after notice when those rules are broken.

5. Your Data and Privacy

We use anonymous, aggregated analytics (such as Google Analytics and Firebase) to understand how TCG Trax is used—navigation, screens, taps, browsing cards and sets, and scanner flows (including whether a scan succeeded). Typical app activity may appear in those stats; we do not use them to identify you personally or for cross-site marketing.

Separately, the account and collection data tied to your login is what lets us sync your collection across devices—that is not the same as anonymous product analytics.

We also collect technical signals that almost every app needs: things like crashes, performance, and app version—again to keep TCG Trax stable and fast.

We do not save scans or scan imagery. The card scanner doesn't take or store photographs—it runs a temporary scan to identify the card only, and that output isn't kept on our side.

We use third-party tools like Supabase for storage, authentication, and push notifications (including device tokens), Google Analytics/Firebase for anonymous or aggregated app analytics and stability, and Adapty to monitor revenue trends. Your information is not sold.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Subscriptions are managed through Apple's app store. Billing, cancellations, and refunds follow Apple's rules.

7. Push Notifications and Price Alerts

Push notifications and price alerts are provided on a best-effort basis. Some features of the Services rely on them, but delivery and timing are not guaranteed. For example, you may disable notifications, your device may be offline or unable to receive them, or delivery may be delayed by our Supabase backend, Apple's Push Notification service, or other factors outside our control.

You should not rely on push notifications or price alerts for time-sensitive buying, selling, or investment decisions. We do not guarantee that card prices, market data, or alert information will always be accurate, complete, or up to date. Card prices can change quickly. TCG Trax is not responsible for missed, delayed, or undelivered notifications, or for any loss, missed opportunity, or other consequence arising from delayed, missed, or inaccurate price alerts (including those available with a subscription).

8. Intellectual Property

All Pokémon-related content, including images and names, belong to The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures Inc. TCG Trax is a fan app and is not officially affiliated with them. All content is for reference only.

9. Third-Party Tools and Services

TCG Trax relies on third-party services and data providers to power certain features, including card pricing data, historical market data, portfolio analytics, currency exchange rates, analytics, authentication, cloud storage, and notifications. We do not control these services and cannot guarantee their availability, accuracy, completeness, or timeliness.

If a third-party service experiences interruptions, inaccuracies, or changes, some features of TCG Trax may be temporarily unavailable or display outdated or incorrect information. We are not responsible for errors, omissions, delays, inaccuracies, or interruptions resulting from third-party data or services. We may also link or integrate with services like TCGplayer, eBay, or Adapty; your use of those services is subject to their terms and privacy practices.

10. What You Shouldn't Do

You agree not to:

• Upload anything illegal or harmful
• Disrupt other users' experience
• Try to hack or reverse engineer the app

11. Limitations

The app is provided as-is. We aren't liable for any loss, damage, or inconvenience from using TCG Trax.

12. Accuracy of Information

While we strive to provide accurate card information, pricing, historical pricing, portfolio values, collection analytics, currency conversions, and other market data, we do not guarantee that any information displayed in TCG Trax is accurate, complete, current, or error-free.

Historical collection values, gains and losses, all-time returns, charts, portfolio insights, and similar analytics are provided for informational purposes only. These values are estimates based on available pricing data and your recorded collection activity and may not reflect actual market values, realized gains, or the price at which a card can be bought or sold.

Card prices and currency exchange rates are obtained from third-party data providers. Because these sources may experience delays, outages, inaccuracies, or corrections, the information displayed in TCG Trax may differ from current market prices or actual exchange rates.

You should not rely on TCG Trax as the sole basis for buying, selling, trading, investing, tax reporting, or other financial decisions. TCG Trax is intended as a collection management and informational tool and does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.

13. Apple App Store

Downloading TCG Trax from Apple means you also agree to follow Apple's terms and conditions in addition to these Terms.

14. Data Security

We work to protect your data but can't promise it will never be accessed or lost. Using TCG Trax is at your own risk.

15. Updates to Terms

We may change these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available at https://tcgtrax.com/terms. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept them.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by U.S. law.
